Wisdom Teeth Removal

I got two wisdom teeth removed last saturday.
When i got to the dental clinic(Chais Dental Clinic) in Jalan Bangkung, the front desk lady gave me several pills to take...4 painkillers, 1 oral sedation pill (to make u drowsy but still conscious) and 3 other pills which i just swallowed without thinking much.

I took an xray last year at Kok Dental Clinic at pudu but decided not to have my extraction there coz the clinic doesnt look appealing to me. It felt like a government hospital, everyone is in the same room with different dentists doing their jobs with just a small partition..no privacy watsoever.

So, after about half an hour or so...i kinda lost track of time. I went to the room and was greeted by a young doctor - Dr Raymond Chai...surprisingly young and pleasant looking. I thot my dentist was going to be someone middle aged and very experienced.

He told me that i would have to remove both upper and lower wisdom teeth. So i said okie..no worries..hahaha.

He was a very polite gentleman. Each time he asked me to open my mouth bigger, he would say please and thank you. Each time, without fail!

First, he checked my teeth..then he started to inject the local anesthesia into the gums...it was painless..he injected bout 4- 5 times to numb the upper and lower site..i just close my eyes.. Soon after, my right jaw and tongue started to feel numb. I realized now the importance of tongue..hahaha..i cant spit out the bitter taste of the anaestasia due to my numbed tongue.

The suction tube was inserted to drain the excess blood. I could hear the sound of drilling and cutting..but i didnt feel any pain except that when the suction tube hit on my lower and upper lips.

I think the surgery lasted more than an hour coz my jaw was opened for that long. That was the only pain i felt.

He did some stitching and then gave me a gauze to bite on to stop the bleeding.

After the extraction, i was asked to do another xray. i asked the nurse, has the upper wisdom tooth been removed?She said yes..wow,thank god coz my jaw hurt from opening too long..

The front desk lady, i supposed is the boss, showed me the video on the after care of wisdom tooth removal and gave me some painkillers,antibiotics, swelling reducing pills, and diazepam for better sleep. They even gave me ice pack to put on my face.

Overall, the surgery went well and i didnt have to eat anything for dinner coz i had something before the surgery.
After the anaesthetic started to wear off, i felt the jaw pretty swollen and blood still coming out.

I was too tired..i went to sleep after i got home and it was indeed a good sleep..
I was given 2 days mc too..hahaha.
